Michael Gambrell is Executive Vice President for The Dow Chemical Company, responsible for the company’s Manufacturing and Engineering Operations organization, including Dow’s global operating asset base, engineering services and site support services. Mr. Gambrell has held a variety of positions for Dow, including: Business Director for the North America Chlor-Alkali Assets Business, General Manager for the Plastic Lined Pipe Business, Vice President of Operations for Latin America, Corporate Director for Technology Centers and Global Process Engineering in the U.S., and Global Business Director of the Chlor-Alkali Assets Business. In 2008, he assumed responsibility for Manufacturing & Engineering Operations in addition to corporate restructuring and special projects. Dow is headquartered in Midland, Michigan, and manufactures specialty chemical, advanced materials, agrosciences and plastics businesses, and a broad range of technology-based products and solutions to customers in 160 countries around the world. In 2009, Dow had annual sales of $45 billion and employed approximately 52,000 people worldwide, with 214 manufacturing sites.
