Jason Speer
Vice President and General Manager, Quality Float Works, Inc.
Jason Speer serves as Vice President and General Manager of Quality Float Works, Inc. In this capacity, Jason has taken the lead with identifying and cultivating new markets. Capitalizing on a market need, Jason founded the Quality Float Valve division dedicated to manufacturing entire float valve assemblies. Due to this technological innovation, the company’s overall sales have grown a staggering 50 percent with international sales alone growing by 13 percent. Today, Quality Float Works, Inc. exports to such international locations as Belgium, Canada, China, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Mexico, Singapore, Vietnam, and throughout the United Kingdom. This international growth is one of the reasons why Quality Float Works, Inc. was recently named “One of the Fastest Growing Companies” in America. By harnessing his passion for manufacturing, Jason has turned a virtually unknown family business on the verge of financial collapse into a leader in the industry.
As an entrepreneur, Jason takes an active role in public policy associations committed to fostering a friendly business climate. Jason broke the mold as the first representative of a small business on the National Association of Manufacturer’s Public Affairs Committee. Jason was also tapped to serve in two separate leadership capacities with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on their Public Affairs Committee and as a charter member of the Corporate Leadership Advisory Committee. Jason is also with the National Federation of Independent Business, Illinois Manufacturing Association, Schaumburg Business Association, and Streamwood Chamber of Commerce.
Jason has been on the cutting edge with implementing a series of green practices. He implemented a company-wide recycling program for scrap materials, aluminum cans, automobile oil and other products that can be recycled safely through Quality Float Works’ Inc. vendors. Jason has also upgraded the office equipment and HVAC to be more energy efficient, including timed thermostats for high-energy efficient equipment and has also developed a way to recycle oil for production. In 2008, Jason will lead Quality Float Works, Inc. in purchasing fluorescent bulbs and painting the entire factory ceiling white to maximize light efficiency.
