Various federal agencies release reports on the manufacturing industry. These reports may discuss the overall state of manufacturing or specific topics such as developing advanced manufacturing technologies, building a robust domestic supply chain, or in-space manufacturing initiatives.

 

  • Space Manufacturing Technology Report

    | In-space, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Technology, Workforce

    This report focuses on five areas and includes 14 recommendations that are actionable by NASA, DOD, DOC, and other federal departments and agencies. When implemented, these recommendations will lead to an increased understanding of existing infrastructure and identification of current capabilities and future needs for space manufacturing.

  • Overview of U.S. Government Manufacturing Workforce Programs

    This report provides a brief outline of several federal government workforce development programs that are open to participation from foreign investors and U.S. Economic Development Organizations (EDOs). SelectUSA, in collaboration with its federal interagency partners, seeks to de-mystify federal workforce programs that have the largest potential to maintain and enhance a competitive U.S. workforce.

  • Building the Bioworkforce of the Future

    This plan, “Building the Bioworkforce of the Future,” builds upon recent reports and assessments of the workforce needs for biotechnology and biomanufacturing and input from stakeholders across government, business, educational institutions, and community-based organizations. Public input was collected through listening sessions and an OSTP-led Request for Information posted in December 2022. Input from this outreach informed the recommendations and action steps.

  • Manufacturing Extension Partnership Annual Report FY2021
