National Network for Manufacturing Innovation

U.S. Secretary of Commerce today issued a statement following the passage of the Revitalize American Manufacturing Innovation (RAMI) Act - bipartisan legislation to create a new National Network for Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI). 

A Knoxville-area based consortium of 122 companies, nonprofits, universities and research laboratories is partnering with the Department of Energy to create a more than $250 million manufacturing innovation institute focused on U.S. leadership in next-generation composite materials.

In September, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker announced Manufacturing USA, the new public name for the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation.
