Reusable Abstractions of Manufacturing Processes (RAMP) Competition

Manufacturing accounts for over half of the environmental impact and one-fifth of the annual energy consumption in the U.S.  Reducing that energy drain is the goal of ASTM’s E3012-16 international standard. If you can put E3012-16 to work to reduce manufacturing’s footprint, you could be a big winner.

The 2018 RAMP Challenge is open through April 20.  We’re seeking process models that best demonstrate how application of ASTM E3012-16 can lead to a more robust, optimized, and energy-efficient manufacturing process.  Prizes range from $1,000 to $200.

Full competition rules, prizes, entry information, and a “how to” video are available at https://www.challenge.gov/challenge/ramp-reusable-abstractions-of-manufacturing-processes/.
