Calling for Nominations for DOE’s Industrial Technology Innovation Advisory Committee

| Advanced Manufacturing

U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm is currently requesting nominations for the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Industrial Technology Innovation Advisory Committee. The new federal advisory committee will be charged with identifying and evaluating technologies to reduce industrial emissions while improving the competitiveness of American industry. Nominations for the committee are due by August 1, 2022.

The advisory committee will enhance DOE’s industrial decarbonization research, development, demonstration, and deployment activities, inform future investment opportunities and technical assistance programs, and help move decarbonization technologies out of the lab and into the marketplace.

The committee will represent a diverse cross-section of American industry, including, but not limited to, public and private entities, non-profit organizations, federal laboratories, labor groups, small- and large-scale industry, academia, independent researchers, local community organizers, and other federal agencies. In developing recommendations, the committee will solicit a wide range of perspectives to ensure that DOE’s industrial decarbonization strategies will directly and equitably benefit the industrial workforce and surrounding communities, including those that have been historically disadvantaged.
